which entry was the best, which was the worst
Which entry was the best, which was the worst
XIII and XV are mid
8 best 7R worst
8 best 1 worst
they all suck. final fantasy is for trannies
I have only played the 2D games (including Tactics and Adv/A2) and WoFF.
2 is weird and has a learning curve but is ultimately overhated.
6 is best, worst is everything after 9
Also 7 is overrated as fuck and cloud does not deserve to be as well known as he is, he's just the jrpg millenial normies grew up with
Worst for me it is a toss up between II or VIII. Also I have a protip for contrarians, you look silly and ridiculous when you call XV as the worse just because its likely the first bad FF you have ever played, its just below average.
Good classic tier: IV, VI
Why would you play this, why did I?: I to III, and V.
Overrated: VII, VIII
A drag to finish: XIII, X, and XII-2
Really comfy: XV, IX, and Lightning Returns
Actually really good: XIII-2
Flawed masterpiece: Type-0. It goes from "meh" to the best by using the time stop mod.
**Didn't play XII.**
Best is 4
Worst are 14 and 11
Based MMO hater. Too bad FFXI is the best Job related FF since FFV and FFT.
How fucking old is this image for it to not even include XII.
VI is my favorite even if that's the "patrician's pick".
XV wasn't good at all.
X-2 is underrated and I'll die on that hill.
The story for XV would have carried it mid-tier, but they fucked that to hell and back.
13 or 2 worst
Respect your opinion but I couldn't stand X-2. Didn't click with me but I will say it's opening theme is one of the best songs in the FF franchise.
>but they fucked that to hell and back.
especially with the Ardyn DLC and True Ending Novel
XIV is best
XIII is worst
II isn't that bad
IX > VII
The main game pissed me off so much that I couldn't bear the idea of playing the DLC, even though I have it for free. Especially since you go from meeting Ardyn to ending the game in like an hour or two without any character development whatsoever.
>Especially since you go from meeting Ardyn to ending the game in like an hour or two without any character development whatsoever.
because it was all gutted for the DLC
XV has a lot of things wrong with it but I've never understood the complaints about Ardyn or that people required the DLC to understand what was going on with him. Everything about him is in the Royal Edition before touching his DLC.
>everything about him can be summarized in 10 seconds worth of storytelling
That is the problem user... He is an extremely flat character even though his personality made it seem like it would be the opposite.
>but I've never understood the complaints about Ardyn or that people required the DLC to understand what was going on with him.
the DLC retconned Ardyn into:
Literally being Jesus
Doing all this evil shit to stop a bigger evil, Bahamut, who was an already established good guy. Which turns the ending of the game into a bad ending since the people who could stop Bahamut are now dead
You don't need his DLC for him to be Jesus, that was in the basic Royal Edition. Though as I understand it, none of that was in the game at launch. Before ever touching his DLC it's clear that he was the true chosen king but that using the same power as Lunafreya cursed him out of his rightful throne and to an eternity of undeath. The stuff about Bahamut wasn't there, but he was still trying to fight the Starscourge and became a host to it and needed to be saved.

all you knew before the retcons was that he was your ancestor mad he was not chosen to be the next king and used the Starscourge as a weapon out of revenge.
this is coming from someone who never got the Royal Edition because fuck spending $15 to get out of Early Access and for DLC that is not Alt-Timeline non canon due to the True Ending Novel
Best: War of the Lions
