Has any Far Cry villain actually come close to being as popular as Vaas from Far Cry 3?

thinly veiled sneed thread

I’d argue Joseph whatever his name is from 5 seems to be very popular, but I’ve only ever beaten and replayed 3 despite owning all of the FC’s after. Jason Brody and Vaas are good foils for each other. The game drops the ball by killing Vaas early.

4 is my favorite but Min was incredibly lame.

Why was Vaas presented as Hispanic but his sister presented as one of the island natives?

I really liked Joseph Seed. Even more than Vaas to be honest. The game as a whole hooked me better because of the music and cast.

3 still the best FC though.

Cause the actor can only do vaguely hispanic characters which is why he's a spic in Better Call Saul. On the upside he's VERY good at his job so he almost always steals the show.

Haven't they been basically trying to make a villain as popular in every game since? Usually when you try that hard to recapture lightning in a bottle, you're bound to fail.

You know Jason can never go back to society right? Even if he destroyed all the bad people on the island, he's still one of them. Which is why banging his sister is the best ending.

I like it in 4 because he's not even a villain.
He welcomes you, treats you well, wants to help you and isn't even mad at the fact that you fight him because he thinks you are just misled.

I thought the jackal was the most notable character from far cry 2. Then again I've only seen 2 discussed three times in the wild, not the most popular FC game by far

I guess it's just Ubi junkfood we're not sopposed to think about that much.

I remember having a vivid dream about Jason in an alleyway in Los Angeles, doing a takedown on some guy in a red hoodie because his bloodlust and old memories kicked back in. I was quite disappointed when I woke up.

I never see anyone talk about Anton Castillo from 6

Was he boring or what?

Having a talking protagonist was such a great choice, really missed that in 5.

How many Far Cry games are actually worth playing

he's a good character in a shit game, unfortunately.

Either they're stepsiblings or Citra adapted to well to the islands culture

2 3 4 Blood Dragon and maybe Primal if you're really into ungaing some bungas

I'm assuming he was just Gus Fring since that's the only role he's allowed to do now.

What makes 6 shit? Haven't played just curious

2, 3, and 5, actually. 4 was kinda meh personally, not as bad as 6, but still.

Far Cry 1 is a much different beast from every other game. Far Cry 2 is a little overhyped but still good overall. 3 is one of the best, 4 if you want more of that, and 5 is pretty good, but only if you're really desperate for more gameplay. Also Blood Dragon is a must play.

Imagine Gus from Breaking Bad but he's in the Mexican version while everyone else is still the Mexican version

Also are we gonna ignore the supersoldier stuff in 1 or?

Where should the next Far Cry be?

Some closure for Jason’s story would be awesome. A sequel or dlc or something. That dude cannot possibly go back to the states.

Farcry 7 set in 1970s Philly, staring Banks as 30 year old Mike

make it happen

Australian bush, middle east, mongolia, rural china, set it during the Rhodie bush war if you want to be spicy. Lot of places you could set it

>2022
>white villain
just maybe

ME could be good. They've already done an asian setting with 4 so I don't think they'd do that again.
