>ubisoft conference
>FIVE assassin's creed announcements
>mario x rabbids dlc
>shuts down servers for the most recent splinter cell game (9 years ago) and disables DLC
did tom clancy scribble down an oath to never allow any more splinter cell games before he croaked? what the fuck is ubisoft doing
at least rerelease chaos theory with working online
Ubisoft conference
>disables DLC
Does this mean you can't buy DLC anymore or is the DLC itself tied to the servers and now locked even if you own it? I haven't played many Ubisoft games on PC so I have no idea how that works.
They lock players out of DLC they bought
There's DRM that requires you to connect to their servers which are being shut down, and instead of removing this legacy DRM they just disable it outright for everyone
If you bought it then you no longer own it.
the latter, same thing that happened to the older AssCreed games
Chaos Theory's graphics are a work of art and should never be tampered with, not even for a remaster.
I just want online
It feels like the chaos theory scene never recovered after Tunngle shut down too
Wow, that's pretty shitty.
check out a game called specter
is supposed to be a spy v merc clone
>last SC game came out in 2013
>last actual SC game came out in 2005
>last proper appearance of Sam was in like 2020 (Breakpoint)
>Sam has been relegated to making soulless cameos in other people's games ever since
>in said soulless cameos, he doesn't look like Sam or even sound like him
>the live-action movie is dead
>the VR game is dead
>Spies vs Mercs is dead
>Blacklist online is dead
>Lambert is dead
>the Netflix series is not dead
>the first game is being remade... by modern Ubisoft
>Ubisoft refuses to port the og games, SC Essentials, and Version 2 of Double Agent to modern consoles
>Ironside is pushing 70 and the cancer will kill him before 2030
Splinterbros... why do we have to suffer?
>VR game is dead
Forever mad at this. VR spies vs mercs sounds like a dream come true
I would rather have it dead than ruined by modern devs
Imagine how shitty a new Splinter Cell made by modern Ubisoft would be. They are doing us a favor by ignoring it.
>tfw always wanted to play blacklist coop but never had the friends to do it
>now I will never know
Let it rest. The fantasy of a big budget AAA Splinter Cell revival is nice, with all the GRAFFIX and gay tracing we want but its just that; a fantasy.
>>Ubisoft refuses to port the og games, SC Essentials, and Version 2 of Double Agent to modern consoles
this is what kills me the most. like okay, you don't want to make a new Splinter Cell? FINE. at least give me a remaster of the OG trilogy. it'd take, what, a couple of weekends for a handful of pajeet programmers?
Didn't they say something like WE'RE GOING TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE BIT after Valhalla and then they announce like 8 titles.
>a couple of weekends for a handful of pajeet programmers?
They did that on PS3. Worst purchase of my life.
They did slow down. Valhalla has been out for two years now.
I wish they remastered the PS2/Wii/Xbox version of Double Agent, it was pretty much on par with Chaos Theory and it's a real shame everyone only remembers the next gen version scrounged up by pajeets in a few months.
Oy there was a Ubisoft conference I woke up to a notification about a Mario rabbids dlc and was worried it meant no direct
HD ver is not that bad for 1 and 2 but Chaos Theory sucks there
This. Let serieses die instead of forcing it to live in the hellscape that is the current year(s).
WHY do you still want to give these faggots money then?
Can't I just crack them?
