That and Nerrel's contributions to the MM community actually inspired people to make MM64 more easily accessible. As well as add improvements to the game.

The n64 zeldas were great for its time but they really improved the formula since
Also OoT>MM, the time travel mechanic was a gimmick at best and mostly felt like a chore to manage rather than something fun
All 3d zeldas are decent games but the later ones really are the best ones

MM is fun only if you know what you're doing at all times and in the best possible order. It's very annoying and tedious if you're playing blind because there's so many chances you can fuck up and have to redo something

the only redeeming quality of the 3DS version is that it adds a new quest where you can get another bottle

Majora's Mask is easily the best one in a lot of aspects.
It's got the best dungeon design in the series by a seriously wide margin and the three day cycle adds so much depth to the exploration and interactivity with the world that it actually makes it hard to go back to the other games right after playing Majora.
I struggle to think of anything actively wrong with the game.

Maybe, but like I beat snow head and it was almost the end of 3rd day so I reset before attempting goron races, when I went back it was covered with snow again, so I had to beat the temple again but faster so I could do the races because I didn't know the place would reset

I like being a Goron, sue me.

Except you can warp to the boss in every temple you've beaten even if you reset, which takes maybe 2 to 3 minutes max.
The only case that would force you to actually redo a temple would be forgetting to turn in your Stray Fairies.

OoT is easier for people to consume
Majoras Mask puts pressure on the player

OoT is great, but Majoras Mask is a lot more interesting to me as a game.
