Lawful evil. Just makes the most sense, considering monitors are smaller height-wise. You need to tilt your head less to view the second monitor, and you have more peripheral vision than you would having them side-by-side.

Most people would never need to. If you work in IT it’s good especially when you have 5+ documents open at once and need them all on the screen for ease of use

Still, you see more with the monitors vertically than you would horizontally, not unless you're using sub 21 inch monitors in the year of our lord 2022, or just have your monitors a mile away from you.

Large 4k. Literally covers everything but a 3 monitor setup with a single monitor that can be adjusted to fit any of the other templates trivially.
