Be a mmorpg fag

>be a mmorpg fag
>literally waiting a decade already for a good new MMORPG
>only p2w shit and non MMOs come out
>kikestarter scam MMOs that never release

I think even if a decent game came out nowadays, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.
I'm 30+ I can't no life the game like I used to and online communities aren't same as back then either.
Even if a 10/10 actual MMORPG came out the players would find a way to ruin it I'm sure.

avoid forums and wikis when playing a new game
of course this shithole included

I mean even if you do, other players don't and get pissed if you build crap or dont know the tactics.

fuck them

Play Dragon Quest X.

I wish this came to the US. I played FFXI from 2004 to 2014. God I loved that game. I am just mentioning that because people have said it's similar.

as a fellow boomer ive enjoyed gw2 but its trash, doesnt hold a candle to the old mmos but it respects your time and isn't p2w so that's something i guess.

Problem is you're looking for a lifetime game. Entire industry has changed. Nowadays you're just looking for a momentary diversion you'll spend couple of weeks/months with and move on. Stop committing to games.

if it did people would try it out and then return to the game they've invested hundreds of hours in and where all their friends are

I haven't played ffxi that much but from what I can tell it's really similar.
I'm mad that XIV gets the treatment it does when it's such a lazy and inferior game in comparison

agree. Everything good about XIV was taken from XI. Makes me sad because not many people realize this. I don't run into many ffxi vets in xiv. When I do it's great though. Just stand around reminiscing.

This was Archeage Unchained for me. They finally got rid of the pay2win shops just for the playerbase to use like 10 accounts at once and multibox and buy gold.

I will never understand the hypocrisy, if 30+ year olds could no life games back then why are you coming up with excuses as to why you cant do it.

>riot mmo is the last hope for non f2p asian mmos
>still no release date

>riot mmo
>hope
Pretty sure that barney gumble would look down on you in disgust.

i didn't say i was hoping for much. no other western company is doing mmos anymore

nobody savors the experience anymore, they want to be "efficient" and haul ass to the endgame content just so some third party website can tell other players that they have a higher score.

because no one has the time with so many other games coming out

There's always ESO.

I would be fine with a soloable MMO if it had good combat, something like Bless Unleased except less scammy and more polished. I don't really care about core MMO social features and teamplay anymore, I'd rather have a singleplayer game with a bunch of people in it that I can occasionally interact with.

There are more 30+ men than ever not getting a job, not going to college, and just playing vidya all day.

Those 30+ year olds had no life, whereas he presumably has a life outside of vidya.

I quit wow to try out new MMO's and was stuck in "the next MMO will be the wow killer" limbo. Lmao at my life, wow classic was the best mmo experience since wow vanilla. Imo, top 3 MMO games not in order:
>WOW (pre cata, pirate server or classic whatever)
>Oldschool Runescape
>Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (or as it's called now, Return of Reckoning)

Bonus1: (since you might call it an MO instead of MMO)
>Phantasy Star online on Ephinea.
Bonus2 (you are right now playing it if it's for you, otherwise it's not for you):
>Everquest 1999

My list has 1 post-wow game, that is how much the genre has died.

Thats not an excuse it just means the genre is not for him.

Runes of magic
Allods online

I mean people say that, but doesn't XIV literally have blind groups for currrent hard mode raids?

Not that XIV is a game about builds at all, but still. It is a shame that the ecosystem has literally shrunk down to two games, both of which are themeparks.
