Nier Automata

>5 years
user it's been 18 years since 2004.

You posted a character that’s gonna be in a promising game on the horizon.

A'lden Rang

>Sleep Fighter Dix
>promising

>shit fighter
>promising after 3 4 and 5
try again shill

>Synthetik(2018)
Twin stick shooter with some tacticool elements about going through a horde of military android. Lots of fun gunplay.
>Overload(2018)
6DoF FPS in the vein of Descent or Aquanox. In my opinion it's better than even Descent 2 although some enemy types almost ruin the experience(the valkryies are the ones that stick out in mind)
>Battletech(2018)
Turn based tactics game. While it also has the dumb two point action system(or more every mech can either run and gun or just sprint) from the newer xcom games there's a neat initiative system, a satisfying armor system and a really cool evasion system(the more you move the more dodgy you get, but you also have to take into consideration you could move yourself into a worse position spotted by more enemies, or a position where you can't rotate and face an enemy to shoot them) that makes it ok. Also has a seemingly thriving modding scene in Roguetech and BTA.
>King Arthur: Knight's Tale(2022)
Turn Based tactics. Really satisfying resource management/health system and satisfying gameplay. Downside is that the later acts have a really severe difficulty spike once you start fighting Seelie/Unseelie and the whole heroes system is very unsatisfying and rigid.
>All Day Dying(2019)
Score attack FPS.
>Cyber Hook(2020)
Obstacle Course FPS with a grappling hook.
>Neon White(2022)
Obstacle course FPS.
>Phoenotopia Awakening(2021)
Remake of a flashgame. Really fun 2d puzzle platformer with exploration similar to Simon's Quest.
>Patrick's Parabox(2022)
Sokoban but with recursion.
>Drainus(2022)
Shmup.

These games will not be to everyone's liking but I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

For promising games
>CRPGs: Underrail Infusion, Colony Ship, 40k Rogue Trader(I hope)
>"Immersive Sims": Core Decay, Blood West, Perpetia, Gloomwood, System Shock Remake(Again I hope it's good)
>FPS: Dread Templar, Ultrakill(hope), Project Warlock 2(hope), Shady Knight, Prodeus, Turbo Overkill, Roboquest(hope), Boltgun(hope), Brutal Fate(hope), Viscerafest(hope), Warstride Challenges(hope) Lorn's Lure, Trepang2(really hope), Fallen Aces(hope)
>Turn Base Tactics(Aka the never ever list): End State, Xenonauts 2, OpenApocalypse, Phantom Brigade
>The "I really hope this actually turns out good list but I don't have a set genre for these": Alaloth, Thrive, Sandfox and the Siege, Summum Aeterna, Falling Frontier, Black Skyland, The Last Spell, Turing Complete, Gunner Heat PC, Hidden Deep, Virtua Unlimited Project(I know it looks gay as shit but I'll take any Mega Man Zero clone as it comes), Berserk Boy, Blood Shootas and Teef
>Metroidvania: 9 Years of Shadow, Crowsworn, Gestalt of Steam and Cinder, Hollow Knight Silksong, Nine Sols(possibly not a metroidvania but I'd like to go in blind so it'll have to go here)

2k chars is too little when you're an autist and end up nuking your post multiple times to reformat it under 2k.

What released five years ago? Breath of the Wild?

What happened in 2004?

Halo 2, the only good video game ever created, was released.

>There hasn't been a good game in 5 years

Damn bro, your depression must be hitting you hard if you're having this hard of a time finding something to enjoy

Then just invent one bro.
Let me try.
>Mount and Blade Warband but as an Isometric 2D game.
>Aesthetics similar to Fire Emblem
>Slightly modified real-time combat built for the Isometric perspective.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any of those games you just listed user. They are all going to flop.

>lauding 2019 for its games
>doesn’t include MW2019
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is one of the best video games of all time.
