He hasn't recovered ever since...

He quit ages ago, him coming back is probably the exception. He's focusing on his own game

nothing left to steal from Any Forums

he should have quit after he ended his career with his retarded dota 2 video

dota is gay and you're a faggot

he can't compete with actually smart people writing video essays, and he's not as big as game theory where he can just ask his fans to send him theories for him to claim is his

Did people talk about his new video on here? I thought it was interesting but didn't see any thread being made for it.

this was the only thread that wasn't deleted, it has some discussion:

multiple threads with akshually interesting discussion which is why the tranny jannies deleted them

>he can't compete with actually smart people writing video essays
Really? And WHO would these people be? For me at least Matt has still been the best and despite many channels diving into video essay territory, only 2 or 3 channels are good at it.

Come back when you've learned to articulate yourself properly.

>he can't compete with actually smart people writing video essays, and he's not as big as game theory where he can just ask his fans to send him theories for him to claim is his
I think he excelled the most when it was just him and a few others doing it.
When the dragonfucker was the other big one doing game analysis: it worked because matt could keep his videos short and to the point without it going into nitpicking territory.
Then the retrospective/analysis era started and suddenly the niche was gone and he was stuck with writers block.

Probably could have stuck at it since he was good at getting his videos down to a manageable length compared to the others with clear ideas. Musta taken quite some work to get them there tho.

He's actually putting money where his mouth is to prove all his analysis was correct.
Imagine the shitstorm if his game is amazing.

Has a "content creator" ever successfully pivoted to making real content?

he's making a game

who

He quit a long time ago, user. He's dedicated to the game he and his GF is making with the Patreon money while streaming Super Metroid Randomizer once a blue moon. The "Meta Microvideos" video was supposed to be the very last video Matthew made and he's gone into depth on streams explaining the deeper meaning behind that video. This newest one is probably just something he really, really wanted to talk about and decided to make a video on it because fuck it, he'll get some extra cash and talk about a subject he needs to get off his chest, but I wouldn't expect many new ones in the future.

>Articulate yourself properly
I have. Now name the dudes that are smart who Matt can’t compete with.

The movie Arctic by MysteryGuitarMan was apparently really, really good. Not sure about any vidya ones however, making games is 10x harder than reviewing them.

it will be shit
>platformers are losing popularity because of the 3d camera
its just such a retarded idea. they lost popularity because it's childlike and too simple and no one wants to make a high budget 3d platformer because of the small audience.
look to it takes two, a wildly successful future classic platformer/puzzle game because of how well they made it and has a bunch of "context sensitive" buttons. people saw him for what he is, a retard and he quit because of that

>This newest one is probably just something he really, really wanted to talk about
I'd say most definitely, considering it touches on subjects he's mentioned in streams before, the contextual jumping from the Castlevania stream and the "camera controls" from the Ghosts n Goblins Resurrection stream.

It's usually just them pretending to do work as a leader of some random team, doesn't end well
Matt is making it himself and shows pretty in depth updates occasionally on his side channel
Not to mention he also had worked in programming in general beforehand
