He did like literally nothing wrong. Why does the game try to portray him as a villain?

...
he dindu nuffin. He was a based racist that wanted to build a wall and have Orlais pay for it
What’s the problem? You can side with him AND get Alistair beheaded for treason. Sounds like you can redeem by the end.
I want the option to have Loghain hatefuck Alistair
He betrayed his king and literally caused his death. The Ostaggar plan would have worked if Loghain had followed through, and NOTHING in the game suggests otherwise, besides Loghain himself.
Imagine the afterglow
Dis. Loghain did it for personal ambition, no other reason.
>Darkspawn invading
>Big brain plan is to murder the king, murder the only Grey Warden and murder thousands of much needed soldiers
He is literally a traitor
And if you let him live as a Cousland you have no honor in your body
The King was a fucking idiot and deserved it
They all would have died
Excuses, excuses. He is a traitor and tried to kill Ferelden's only hope later because he is an idiot as well
>Man that betrayed everyone to their deaths says that they would've died anyway
And you believe him, you fucking retard.
>He betrayed his king and literally caused his death.
The King was a retard
>The Ostaggar plan would have worked if Loghain had followed through
Not it wouldn't have. Everyone would have been slaughtered, including him.
>Not it wouldn't have. Everyone would have been slaughtered, including him.
Proof?
Why should the entire army, including the most capable general, die just because a retarded king wants to play war like in a fairy tale.
>homeland gets invaded by underground demons
>lets his king and a huge chunk of the national army die, doesn't even pretend to help him
>this starts a civil war
>betrays, outlaws and actively hunts down the surviving members of the one organisation capable of stopping the threat
>refuses help from neighboring nations because muh 6 million killed during the Orlesian occupattion
Yeah
Now try and see it from an in-game perspective with only the knowledge he would have, rather than meta-game knowledge of the player.
>surviving members of the one organisation capable of stopping the threat
He did not know that. The grey wardens are retarded for keeping this a secret
getting the retard king killed is one thing, but sacrificing a huge chunk of army in the face of invasion is quite another.
And also he send the assassins and bounty hunterd after me, so it is now personal
He had his reasons but he was still wrong. You're a Grey Warden and he's an active obstacle to you doing your job. It's really that simple.
Then don't make the deal in the first place. Loghian specifically orchestrated the outcome that supports his argument that a direct fight was foolish how can you not see this?
This gay thread again.
Loghain went full retard once the game started. The only decision that's debatable is him drawing his forces back.
>lets foreign nationals and fucking blood mages to boot sell fereldan citizens into slavery
>fucks with the church's mage hunter business
>lets a treacherous tim curry have like third of the most prosperous land including the fucking capital city
That said, not letting the kike Orlesians sent their legions that will definitely, scout's honor, leave a weakened formerly occupied country once they are done fighting literal hell demons is a very sensible thing.
Hunting down Grey Wardens is also a muddy territory. On the one hand, he just found a convenient scrape goat for his retreat at Ostagar. On the other, the Grey Wardens have a precedent of staging rebellions against the rightful monarch of Ferelden. Plus, nobody fucking knows why these secretive fucks that take greatest warriors and filthy thieves alike for some gay orgy rituals are required to beat the Blight.
Speaking of the Blight, the last time the Blight happened was 400 years prior and ended with a battle with so many darkspawn slain that people thought there's no way in hell there's any more darkspawn left. Why would you trust some tiny foreign military organization that was exiled for attempting a coup when they say another Blight is coming?
Is this kind of bait the only way to have a DAO thread not die in seconds?
I don't mind but it's a bit sad
>>lets foreign nationals and fucking blood mages to boot sell fereldan citizens into slavery
They are ghetto rats anyway. He did ferelden a favor
SOUND...
THE RETREAT
Considering it was his butt-buddy King Maric's idea to bring the Wardens back in the first place it's a bit odd that he didn't at least give them a chance to work with him voluntarily. Wardens are known for being absolutely ruthless when it comes to fighting Darkspawn that someone like Duncan might not have even cared.
