Compare the importance of the founders to the events of Torna. Torna was constantly brought up in the main game and was the main motivation for both Pyra and the villains. With the founders, they’re brought up only once or twice in the City, and then any other mention is locked to side quests.

Funny thing is I'm already sitting on a stack of other games to play, including some lengthy JRPGs. And I'll probably go deep into Splatoon 3 tomorrow. But I just wish I could hang out with the characters of XB3 some more. I think part of this might just be the lack of cutscenes towards the end of the game, I've been left wanting.

I'm at chapter 3 and honestly my first impression with this game is really bad so far Story pacing is very weird, handholding gameplay with weird class swapping and muh mastermind edgy masked villains

It does pick up but also Chapter 3 is when you can just go off the rails. There's tons of substantial optional stuff that you've probably already missed out on. Turn off the tutorials because the handholding is a concession to the dummies that played XB2 and couldn't figure it out.

No you're right, the Founders are literal who's and they had basically no impact on our party's journey. Whereas in 2 there were constant flashbacks to Torna, Lora and Addam and some of the main characters had personal connections to them.
