Bayo 2 didn't really live up to the first game mechanically, and platinum doesn't really have much of an identity these days besides being desperate for contract work.
DMC might have some rough games, and you'll hear people shit talk 4 as hard as people enjoy it, but it really feels like Itsuno is always taking the best from everything he's done no matter how worthless something might have seen. 5 just had more and more to show too.
So far Bayo seems like more of the same, which isn't really impressive coming from Platinum anymore. I'm still excited though, but my hype level is a hard "wait and see".
