I don't understand the obsession, sure it's a fun game but I had my fill of it by like 2018. How are these people playing like 2000+ hours?

I play grand strategy games so I guess I shouldn't talk, but at least those do require hundreds of hours to learn. The thing I really don't get is when I see people with 300+ in a normal single player adventure game or something. What are you doing in BoTW or RDR2 for 500 hours?

Japan has a huge "fit in" culture. Many kids and young adults want to all be experiencing the same thing so they can have people to interact with and have discussion points. Sure, you can say all countries do this, but from my experience on living here in n Japan, it's pretty bad. Demon Slayer series is another fine example.
