Unironically. Pic related is one questline and how it interacts with both main quests and side quests. Kera Metz's questlines do the same (send her to radovid = opens up a side quest hours later where you retrive her body, fighting her opens up a boss fight, both options lead to her death which among other choices can lead to Lamberts death, a main character who has his own quest lines etc etc). You haven't played the game, you saw its success and you seethed like the good Any Forums NPC you are
