How do you balance work and vidya wagies?

I only work part time and live with my parents so I don't need to pay rent

I'm a neat and I still go to sleep at 12

I think the last time I woke up at 8am was 20 years ago.

Work from home has been huge. Cuts out travel time and instead of wasting time chitchatting when it's slow I can play a game until something comes up

Even when I was NEETing in my early 20s I woke up at like 5am for nature walks

Short work commutes and food prep saves me a lot of time. Also built a home gym because it was annoying to go to the local gym with the whole covid psychosis back in 2020. Got plenty of time to play each day, it's not like I have any social life outside work.

I'm currently unemployed and I have no drive to play video games whatsoever. The most fun I had playing video games other than when I was a kid was when I had a full time job and had my steady 2-3 hours of vidya time every day after work. I could just relax and play without having to worry about bills and money. How do you NEETS do it? How do you silence that voice inside you that tells you that you're fucked if you don't start working again soon and save up more money?

A. I make enough to get by on 3 days a week, and I can pick up any extra days I want if I am planning on buying something big
B. Absolutely no one in this thread could ever beat me at a select handful of games no matter how many hours they put into it, literally top 1% player in like 3 games

Because if you just want people to genuinely talk to hand around interest groups, maybe go into /vg/ threads and try to contact people off site and avoid their IRCs/Discords because those are literally just there so some group of faggots can feel powerful

Well in addition to refreshing the catalog all day I spend a lot of time researching random stuff, kinda mostly along the lines of fixing my self discipline or, rather contentiousness as a whole as the Big Five would call it. i was looking up a lot of stuff on the recently. There doesn't seem to be any way... All methods of building self discipline require you to have it in the first place. No drug does it either.

I just downloaded top gun maverick and mission impossible a few minutes ago to watch today, i'm probably going to get around to finally watching them in like 4 months lmao

I do have work to do sometimes though, and when i do it's some tedious shit that requires me to leave the office.

My job was great until covid happened and it all went to hell. Now I have regular anxiety attacks thinking about it. I know guys making almost double my salary who are cruising with one fourth the stress. The envy makes me want to kill them and myself.

My friend who graduated uni and got an easy government job that pays well told me that he has achieved everything he planned to do (graduate and get a job) and now doesn't know what he wants to do with his life
