Diablo II

Grim Dawn by far.

>What’s the best arpg out today?
completely subjective. try them all out and see which one you like the most.
the most popular are diablo 3, path of exile and grim dawn.

Shining Soul 2.

Is diablo 3 better than diablo 2? both are 50% off

Diablo 2 and Sacred. Every other Diablo-clone is meh

Diablo 2 is objectively better, but 3 is alright as a light casual experience.

Is that a Torchlight game?

Grim Dawn. They are trying to fix Titan Quest though. Last Epoch seems promising.

Grim Dawn > PoE > PD2 > d3 > D2 > Wolcen

Last Epoch is unfinished.

Diablo 3 is more fun.

Modded Diablo 2 (Path of Diablo, etc) has the best atmosphere, and enough QOL improvements and endgame so as not to be completely outclassed by more recent games. If you just played the default difficulty "for the story" and atmosphere and such, it'd be the best option, in that regard you might even go for the remaster for better graphics at expense of improvements in other areas
Diablo 3 has the best-feeling combat, but average to offensive/trash literally everything else. But then, combat is what you do for 95% of the time, so it's a pretty huge deal
I personally never liked it (it's bloated and I think the systems were inelegant to begin with, the "living at the edge"/"one-shot" nature of combat just isn't fun, etc), but if build autism is what you want, Path of Exile is a good pick. Well, at least it used to be, I hear the latest patch finished the ongoing process of ruining the game
And then there's Grim Dawn and Last Epoch somewhere in between these, having systems that I think are better-designed but PoE's, endgame that has something to it than literally just endless Baal runs/greater rifts like the Diablo games, etc, but falling short of the strong points of them as well (worse atmosphere than D2, worse combat than D3, less nuanced systems and less endgame content than PoE, etc)

If you think about it in terms of what you might describe as artistic merit, Diablo 2 wins hands down. If you asked me to sit down and play one of the ARPGs for a few hundred hours right now, having already played most of them such that novelty doesn't factor into it and it's about the quality of moment-to-moment experience, I'd probably play Last Epoch.

No torchlight 2?

started playing grim dawn recently
im almost finished all the story on normal and im already level 73
how do you become more powerful once you hit 100?
just grind for gear?

Honestly I forgot about it, it's been a decade since I played it probably. Squish it between d3 and d2 probably

barely worthy of the genre diablolike
try PATH OF EXILE instead

Last epoch is not finished yet, but it looks promising, give it about 1-2 years more probably

Gear, constellations, attribute/skill quests.

eh
game for autist and meta fags

Finished Torchlight 2 recently and loved it. Is there any other simple-ish ARPG?

Maybe try Asura: Vengeance Edition.

Made by two guys in India I believe. Rather short but quite cheap.
