GTA syndrome.

World is awesome for fucking around, but you get bored of chaos and can't touch all the content that way.

So then you do missions but the missions suck, and if you have any self-respect you won't see the second half of the game.

Overly complicated menus within menus and systems on top of systems. Maps that are either far too small and crammed or too open and empty. DLC out the ass. Remnants of a premium currency system that was stripped out when the publisher was satisfied that it has bled the game dry. There is the potential for a good game in there someone. Play the first one instead. It is somehow better in every way.

>It is somehow better in every way.
Branding is garbage in the first game

TALION PUT OUR DICK BACK IN OUR PANTS THIS INSTANT!
THAT IS A SPIDER, NOT A SEXY WOMAN, TALION.
TALION NO!!!

A generic Ass Creed experience for the first act until you gain the ability to convert Orcs and the actual game starts.

holy fuck is it really that bad, I enjoyed the first one

no, it's the same as the first one. it's decently fun.

No, you're just in Any Forums. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll enjoy this one. It's basically the same game with more biomes, more orc interactions and a light RPG-esque loot system. The game shipped with horrendous publisher-forced micro-transactions but that's since been patched out after the backlash they received.
The story opts to go full-retard and personally I think it's better for it since it stops taking itself as seriously as the first game did. It's not as bad as RANGS OF POWER, it's more like the writing runs on anime brain.

what's the best difficulty to start?

Celebrimbor is for some reason an undead wraith who mindcontrols orcs. Shelob is now a sexy mama. The plot and story is really fucking stupid and you are obligated to listen to dumbass dialogue you couldn't possibly care about. The Arkham combat is kinda fun for quite a while before becoming boring though.

Unironiclaly Gravewalker. Captains don't take forever to kill and you can also die quickly if you fuck up.

Regular is fine for a first playthrough but I'd recommend the highest difficulty where you and the enemy deals more damage, you'll die more but it allows the nemesis system to flourish and gies the game actual challenge. The only drawback is that the early game can be a bit challenging because you're still underpowered.
I'd also recommend that you turn off the block prompts and actually read the enemy animations.

Thanks anons, I guess Brutal is some bullshit where you just get one hit killed.

Highest difficulty is cool when you're in a section with room to prepare and choose your distances, but there was a "survive for 2 minutes" section in a moshpit that almost made me abandon the game in disgust because if you take 3 hits in a blender full of faggots then you have to do the entire timed section over.

Sorry I meant to say Brutal difficulty. Gravewalker turns enemies into figurative bullet sponges.

I'd actually recommend Brutal over Nemesis/Gravewalker. They just make the enemies damage sponges while Brutal is more sudden-death

Gravewalker = enemies are tanky as fuck and do tons of damage.
Brutal = enemies do tons of damage but you do too

Having fun fighting packs of orcs a few times and then getting annoyed at the mass amount of reinforcements because there's 100 alarms in any area of the game
SEXO SPIDER LADY

It's more of the first game and as always it only really starts when you get the ability to brand orcs and control them. It's pretty fun in my opinion, the Nemesis system really is great. Deserved all the shit it got at release but with how cheap it is now and with all of that removed, there's basically no reason to not play this if you've already played the first.

Just got shadow of mordor free with amazon prime, its been alright, its like Arkham-light, meaning the controls are much more lenient and its not filled with faggot riddler puzzle things.
How much better is shadow of war compared to mordor?

Ork army coach simulator. A good one at that.
