I cannot freaking agree more. Santo Ileso is amazing and is a great departure from Stillwater/steelport. The team seems to have created this with love and really cared about getting this right.

They openly hire people not based on talent, but because of irrelevant factors such as skin color, sexuality, etc. Then they even take pictures of their “diverse” dev teams and put them on display like they’re trophies, and upload them online talking about how progressive they are.
But you still think this doesn’t effect quality? You genuinely believe this still? You have a game, based on some of the most politically incorrect games ever made (part of the reason they were so funny and enjoyable) made by people that despise anything politically incorrect, and you still think it doesn’t effect the game?

You have to make people know. Little cracks break the dam user. This is gatekeeping. Letting developers know that failure will be ridiculed, people will be ostracized and your reputation as a fuck-all-fuckup forever branded on the studio and your resume. Only when developers understand that they can become an eternal pariah overnight will they shy away from working on these projects. They need to understand that in both a professional and enthusiast sense they are loathed and despised for the work they have done.
