I hate third party launchers
In the best case scenario they automatically connect you with your steam account and let you play without any additional set up, so the user only has to go through one extra click to start his game which doesn't bother me
But then there are some real AIDS launcher out there like the one for Elite Dangerous

I requested a refund as well but it got denied because of my playtime from before the launcher update
Frankly it is my opinion that games should not be allowed to be sold on steam if you can't play them through steam
