It doesnt suck but it is certainly worse than the first game

The free mods for this game are better than anything Ubisoft has put out in years.

Gun play is terrible. None of the guns have any weight to them or feel right. Makes me feel like I'm shooting the combine with pellet guns.

not exactly a fair comparisson considering modern Ubisoft is one of the worst things things to happen to gaming

AR2 feels punchy but ruined by its 60 spare ammo

The harder you try to push that this masterpiece is le baadd cause ughhhh....? The stronger it gets. Just played update again this year with mmod. What a great game. The pacing, variety, storytelling and writing, and sense of adventure is unparalleled for an fps campaign.

Have you played on hard? The SMG feels 100% useless. If I'm out of revolver ammo I'm in for a real bad time but I just picked up the gravity gun so hopefully it and the crossbow can save me.

It's great but there's so many sections trying to distract me from the shooting, and all the physics bullshit is annoying to replay

It's a grenade launcher with an smg attachment. It's a great weapon. And if you're out of AR2, Revolver, shotgun ammo you're probably doing something wrong. You're probably not very creative either for not taking advantage of the gravity gun.

nigga i JUST got the gravity gun, I S&Q right at the entrance of Ravenholm. Also I sure as shit haven't seen any SMG nades yet.

No and HL2 will forever be considered as a good game and you'll always be considered as a contrarian outside of Any Forums if you don't agree.

But yeah, it's a bit overrated. there's too many parts that aren't fun enough. The episodes were way better.

You don't fight armored combine until after ravenholm. Which is the only thing the smg is ineffective against. Then you get the AR2 which is your go to assault rifle. Against CP units the smg eats them up. If you don't have grenades you're doing something wrong. It's a good weapon.

terrible game yes
full brown, slow, shit AI, shit enemy variety, guns feel like shit, OST no one remembers, you have to wait minutes for dialogs to end before continuing, worst vehicle sections of any game ever, you can't hear npcs if you don't look at them, bioshock infinite tier "puzzles", reddit humor "LOOK AT MY HEADCRAB PET", pretentious shitty story ending on a dumb cliffhanger...
Awful game

It's decent. Far too many gimmick sections and the in game unskippable cutscenes don't help. The first game and it's expansions are far better.

I only enjoyed Half Life, Half Life 2 and the episodes were letdowns.
