Just finished Replicant and loved it. What am I in for with the second game?

Better combat but an ultimately inferior and bloated experience that doesn't bring it all together.
You're probably in for a good time. I don't know what the popular meme reason to complain about Automata is these days but I enjoyed it a lot. Since you played Replicant already I assume you already know not to stop at the "A" ending here so just have fun, and enjoy the feels.
Sex. Lots of it.
Better almost everything. Whether you will like the story less or more is purely subjective.
I've only played Automata. Probably my favorite game for reasons.
I've 100%'d the game. If you like gnosticism or occult ideas, you might get what I got out of it.
Good music
What’s different: Much bigger open world, you can sort of create a build, the different playthroughs after the first ending are NOT repetitive, the stakes feel quite a bit bigger (where replicant was one man’s quest to rescue his sister, automata is a war), and DAT ASS.
What’s the same: beautiful character designs, peak storytelling, gorgeous soundtrack, fun bullet hell hack and slash combat.
Each has a place in my heart. Have fun
>ultimately inferior and bloated experience
Compared to how Replicant handled things? lmao
Started Replicant myself, when does it get good? Bout two hours in and it's kind of meh.
Story-wise it starts picking up near the end of the first half.
Just be reminded that the gameplay will not change in a meaningful way. What you are playing now is what you will be playing for the next 30 or so hours. There are not some new crazy gameplay mechanics. If you do not enjoy the story and characters, you probably won't enjoy the rest of the game. You will be playing the second half of the game 3 times to get all the endings. The second time is kino, but after that it admittedly drags on. Try pushing through to the time skip (like 10 hours in) and see if you want to continue. It's a very outdated game when it comes to gameplay. Even in the remake.
The game gets REALLY kino near the end and the other endings
Where are you now? Did you get Kaine as a party member yet?
its more fleshed but the characters arent that close and lack commoradary.
Except near the end
Automata is a better package on the gameplay and content side of things and is legitimately good.
Replicant ultimately beats it in the story and music side of things though.
I slightly prefer Replicant/Gestalt on the whole, but both are excellent.
Do the other Automata endings have that "HOLY FUCK" factor like Ending B in Replicant? About to start playing
Does automata on pc have some kinda scaling mod? On ps i remember i was too over leveled in the end and blew thru the bosses
I know the answer but prefer not to give it to you. Please go into the game unspoiled.
user, if you do one good deed today, close this thread and just start playing.
disappointment.
>other Automata endings
Huge waste of fucking time. Ignore anyone saying otherwise.
Trash gameplay
Dead boring world
Shallow combat
Tedious side missions
Great character design
Interesting story
Good music
It's overrated as fuck but I do recommend at least trying it. The first playthrough is bad, the second is worse, but third onwards it does get better. An acquired taste for sure.
Great to hear you didnt quit after playing through the same game three times to get the endings
>it does get better
fuck no.
I'm thinking about getting the port for Switch next month
Is it really an RPG or more kinda like an adventure game? I don't really like stuff like Xenoblade or Bayonetta, but I love Zelda for example.
A perfect sequel to the original.
