How come there are no good fishing games?

How come there are no good fishing games?
Are fish harder to simulate than Deer?

Playing simulator games is more homosexual than sucking dick

Only ever played Fishing Planet. It was pretty neat-o. Russian Fishing 4 and The Angler look decent, but haven't tried them yet.

The actual cathing of the fish is a very small part of the fishing hobby and the main attraction of fishing is something that is very hard to simulate on a computer, i.e. getting away from your fucking wife for a few hours.

I hear you have to spend quite a bit on Fishing Planet

There are a few, but staring at a digital lake is more boring than hunting in the woods. Fishing is relaxing but also low effort. There's nothing stopping you to go fishing irl, so there's no real need to simulate it

>There's nothing stopping you to go fishing irl
I need a license...

I'm sorry you're canadian user, it's a shame because your lakes are really stellar

UK

OI

That also makes sense, considering the state that cares the most about licenses and certificates is bri'ish colombia
Aren't those licenses really easy to get though? Like you apply for a small fee and get it in a week kinda thing? I know they treat it like a fucking yearly subscription and expect you to pay again but if you really want to try fishing, it could be worth applying for.

Nigga, touch grass. Imagine simulating things that can be done irl.

>Any Forums never talks about hunting games
>but they will talk about the early access buggy as fuck fishing game that has no underwater cam

Why not just go outside and fish? Real question. At least hunting needs proper firearm training, licenses and parks where you are allowed to shoot at animals. You can fish pretty much anywhere at any time. I'd say soccer games are just as dumb but you might be literally crippled, but fishing even crippled people can do, so why not just go and actually fish?

Do you know how expensive fishing tackle is these days

you can just go fishing IRL??? I caught this seabass yesterday at the beach

Do you not know that any place that you can fish has cheap fishing tackles that you can rent?

Anyone have experience with Atom Fishing II? Would you rec?

It's good but it being an MMO with a 100 people playing it's not very positive to see.

Nice catch, going fishing tomorrow.

How do you know he doesn't do both?
Imagine shaming people over vidya on a vidya forum.

Playing sports games is something entirely different than playing the sports themselves.
Everyone that ever played a sport and played a video game about it knows that.

>Love fishing
>Hate the taste of fish
I only go out fishing when I am with other people because they can eat our catch. But I feel like I am missing the main point of the experience which is eating something you catched with your own hands.

i keep getting the line tangled on tree branches. do you know how hard it is to untangle that?

Bro why would you play a racing simulator just go out in your car!
I hate retards like this so much

You don't need to eat what you catch, it's still relaxing to be by the lake or a river.

All fishing games are shit, and is only good when it exists as a mechanic within a larger game.

Mosquitos

this is why i think a fishing MMO would work great. it'd quite literally just be a chatroom where you can fish with people online, not to be confused with phishing

Fisherman here. First off, it's just easy as fuck to go out and fish so you don't need a game. I can see something like soccer where you need two full squads to play or football where a single team needs 52 players--it isn't easy to just get a real game going with a hand full of bros. But with fishing, the best they can offer are fishing simulations at different places in the world that I can't get to. The biggest problem with fishing games, in my opinion as a fisherman, is that you are normally gimped on the the equipment and skills you can use. Like I got a dozen rods/reels and boxes full of tackle and been fishing all my life, I'm not about to grind out some fishing game where I have even less access to the stuff I have in real life. Couple that with shit like Fishing Planet where they want you to pay real world money for in-game tackle and equipment. That pay to play shit might work for chinks in gacha, but I'd rather just take that money and buy real shit that I can catch real fish with.

Most Fishing games come with multiplayer these days.

How do I get the fish to bite the hook?

Attached: 1654120827139.png (205x230, 3.08K)

Have you tried baiting the hook with something the fish east, and then presenting it to the fish in a way that doesn't spook it?
