I bet it looks for capitalization, maybe a quick check to count periods, possibly factors in some Flesch Kinkaid score or other about word and sentence length if we're being generous, and then checks average commonness of words used or average of the 10% least common words used in the sample or something and then does some bullshit to print a fake IQ mashing them all together.
Or just does the last bit, or just makes it up completely.

Simple it looks for proper grammar and vocabulary. If you plug it in program that fixes and the grammar and you open a thesaurus and replace a few words you can cheat the number.
