it's really just a tech demo. gameplay is ass and super repetetive, the parkour was cool at the time and iirc the ai was good for its time as well. but the story and the characters are super boring. the series never had any truly great games, but at least you have some fun adventurous story with likable characters in some of the others

Remake coming soon

This as well as the original Splinter Cell (that one was even announced, wasn't it?) are both games where a remake could actually be a good thing. They are both a bit rough around the edges but has the potential to be something great with more refinement. The Sands of Time remake is pretty pointless though.

The original Assassin's Creed needs it so bad it's practically unplayable today with all its inferior mechanics that the very next game improved upon and all the gay filler content. The actual aesthetic especially between cities, Altair's design and original voice actor, that kickass chase music and sense of true progression with the weapons all stood the test of time though.

Here's hoping they do bring back Phillip Shabaz because he is the only true Altair to me, fuck all that middle eastern accent shit and this is coming from an arab italian.
