What is a cheap PC for gaming?

Currently I have only a mac which isn't very conducive for gaming so what is a side PC for that.

1000 dollars is cheap enough
get/build something with a 3060 minimum (for both laptop or desktop)

I'm very new to PC gaming so I don't know what a 3060 is

how old are you? you never used google in your life?

Dont look so much on the brand names. For now just try and match the graphics card and price range and you should be good to go

There is a sale for a 3060 laptop for a little over a 1000. deals.dell.com/en-us/productdetail/f95v

>how old are you?
20
>you never used google in your life?
On Any Forums so obviously yes just didn't think typing 3060 in google would do anything

steam deck

You could dual boot windows on your mac. Won't have the best video card but still you should be able to play some games.

don't buy a laptop these fags are clueless.
if you build, you can get away with spending $600 or less and having something that can play anything in 1080p.
If you buy a prebuilt, you'll spend $1000 for the same performance as a $600 you make yourself.

You said you're a macfag, which means you're basically illiterate, but any 8 year old youtubing "how to build a desktop computer" can figure it out.

If you're just straight up retarded, buy a gaming laptop because you probably deserve it.
If you want some tough love, go post this thread to Any Forums and pray they have mercy.

>how to build a desktop computer
I need portability as well since I'm a uni student and change dorms each year

>needing a huge gamer laptop because you move once a year
retard

You could just get the Steam Deck if it's available in your region. Gaming laptops are uncomfortably clunky and noisy, and it's basically expected that they will be so companies don't bother minimizing the problem. I don't know how people tolerate them.

A laptop 3060 is much weaker than a desktop 3060.

Steam Decks are less powerful and just and noisy as laptops are, plus their battery life is worse.

>retard
It's a desktop you want me to build and from the desktops I've worked with the cpus alone are bigger than the gaming laptops i've seen like Ryzen

What the absolute fuck are you trying to say?

user, first rule for pc gayming is to not buy things.
You have to wait till thing gets cheaper, and if thing gets cheap you gotta wait because theres a better thing, and you should wait till its cheaper.

stop recommending him desktop and steam deck shit he asked for a laptop retards

for me its the toughbook cf-39 but it isn't cheap and cant play real games without the GPU add on. Like OP said look for something with a 3060.

Mac has games, you don't need to build a pc before you even dip your toe into computer gaming.

>What the absolute fuck are you trying to say?
desktops are bigger and consume more space than laptops

I would just get this deal OP. it'll do what you want. make sure you get the extended warranty.

>mac has games

pfft lol. unfortunately their hardware isn't exactly made for gaming.

>he asked for a laptop retards
"pc master race" is full of elitists who wont listen to someone who is just starting, who knew.

This website is a good place to start. It's a big table that shows you which parts are suitable for which pricepoint.

This website is meant to help people build their own custom PC. You can do this if you're brave, but since you're new to PC gaming you are probably thinking of buying a prebuilt. Use this table as a reference point while shopping for PCs and compare the parts in those PCs to the parts on this table and how much the PC costs. You can use this to determine whether the PC you're looking at is of a good value.

Good luck gamer

I'm sure the hardware isn't great but there are good games that run on potatoes.

OP why not consider getting a cheap laptop with usb 3 and hooking an external GPU up to it? like pic related. or would that not be portable enough?

Wow, no shit retard. Why does that matter when you're only moving once a year?

amazon.com/dp/B09RMH9B6F

lighter and has better cpu

just look at buildapcsales or laptopdeals on r*ddit, or slickdeals etc.
not much else to do for OP other than spoonfeed everything

>cheap laptop with usb 3
Thanks do you have any examples?

that's retarded and you still don't get the full GPU power because of the data limitations
