Uh... switch bros??? How do we respond?
Uh... switch bros??? How do we respond?
irrelevant because switch is cheaper
tired of this emulator meme. most games run like trash on the steam deck 5% of the time. You get a pretty good experience 95%, but that other 5% of glitching, graphical errors, and stuttering make it rage enducing sometimes that it's better just to play on a pirated switch.
do that many people even use the switch as a portable? Portable gaming is trash in general so unless you're a trucker or constantly out of the country why would you even want it?
>heh my deck can run any switch game perfectly! problem tendies?
>HOLY SHIT A PC PORT! NOW I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THIS GAM- uh i mean, lol now there’s a slightly better way to play this game
I just don't understand the appeal of a small screen with joysticks attached. Before getting into emulation, I got a switch just to play Nintendo games and only played it docked. If I want to use sticks, I'll do it myself on my desktop.
It's not about emulation you fags. It was more about how you might play a PC game and wish it was on the Nintendo PortMachine so you could play it portably and that meant waiting on nintendo to announce it at a direct. Now nobody cares because it's all on steamdeck. They gave the example of like the portal companion collection and nier automata and stuff.
by like 50 bucks lmao
>buying nintendo consoles for anything but exclusives
>playing games in public
LMAO
>It's not about emulation you fags
I use it for both. Mainly 7th gen emulation though. I was playing TP the other day and completely forgot what a fucking slog the beginning is.
I dunno about the steam deck. I don't really travel enough to justify getting one— I already don't take my Switch with me when I go out, so why would I want another "portable" device?
I just don't really understand people who need their games on the go. How long would you get to play for in one sitting? 30 minutes? An hour max? And then you're gonna have to bring a backpack with you now to carry that shit. I dunno. I'd rather just be gameless in the street and use my computer at home. Do you guys really game outside that much??
How many of these threads have you tried today, gabentranny?
Just give up
Does anyone have a guide for hacking a switch?
>I don't really travel enough to justify getting one
In the same way the switch isn't really for that, neither is the deck. It's for playing at home and being comfy.
I meant the article specifically wasn't about emulation, tendies were just showing their insecurity and making assumptions.
>play emulator
>battery is at 1% 10 minutes later
Oh, for sure, because it gets under their skin.
If there was a more powerful switch that was only home docked it would be fairly more popular. It's not like people want this shit to be portable, they just forced it on as the gimmick
so i'd rather just be comfy with my fucking tv or a laptop.
why would I want a clunky thing like that?
Well, yeah. It's nearing the end of its life cycle.
Your digitals will vanish while steam deck will always have access to steam.
Enjoy your fan noise
>Good to hear. I hope we can all enjoy video games together and have friendly conversations about them!
>It's another steamdeck thread where they can't stop talking about nintendo
>laptop shitters
every thread
why deck flop?
shit as fuck?
>play on the Switch
>battery is at -400% after 2 milliseconds
We can both lie and not show any proof, but I don't think it's going to get us anywhere.
>speedrun twelve Mario games within those ten minutes
I think having a much better experience for years and a far cheaper game library overall is worth a higher entry fee
constantly talking about the switch in every thread isn't actually a good marketing tactic.
Makes you look like a cheap ripoff, so people just buy the original
>OP image of a twitter post summarizing a twitter post of a gamespot article.
uh bro you can use a controller with a laptop
I like sitting on the back porch with it in the evenings, or relaxing with it in a hot bath. For the few times a year I travel for work it's nice to have for the plane ride as well
>buy deck
>steam sales all the time, most games go on sale within months of release and some get dirty cheap after years
>free online
>buy switch
>games are $60, rarely go on sale and their discounts are minor
>also they look and run like shit, you're literally paying more for the worst version of a game
>paid online (with no dedicated servers so you're literally paying to use your own internet to connect directly to others so no matter how fast your connection is, if you get matched with brazilians you have to play at their speed)
If your argument is being broke, even then the deck is still a better choice, by the end of the generation you have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars in games and play them at a much higher quality than the switch
>Deck thread
>brings up the switch for zero fucking reason for the 4169461864th time
You guys aren't selling me on this device AT ALL.
you can use a controller with a desktop, phone or console too. what's your point? just go make a thread about laptops if you're so passionate about them
>gabentrannies are SEETHING
Kek, seem like the dozen shilling threads you made today all failed.
the point is that your post was retarded and doesn't show what utility a portable provides at home when there are better and more powerful and less clunky options available
this is a gamespot twitter screenshot thread.
Why are you COPING so hard?
a controller dock for a tablet was a good idea but it looks so dorky it never caught on
>cheaper
>switch games are 60$ each
>Steam games are free*
*Yarr harr fiddle dee dee
I get more battery life emulating than I do playing virtually any regular PC game. PS2/GC emulation only takes like 7-10W of power, so like 4.5-5.5 hours.
Lugging around a laptop isn't "comfy"
The fan is silent unless you are running something really intense.
Why not just steal the switch games?
sorry i will cater to your needs specifically next time you big giant faggot
>the point is that your post was retarded and doesn't show what utility a portable provides at home when there are better and more powerful and less clunky options available
the more powerful options are more clunky, though. but have fun playing games on your phone i guess
>"5% of games run better on the Switch therefore the Steam Deck is useless"
Sometimes I think Hitler didn't go far enough
Why are gabensubhumans SEETHING so hard?
I rest easy at night knowing I'm supporting my corporation by paying for my own internet and rebuying my games every generation so I can enjoy having a worse experience with them than you. Can you say the same?
>Persona 4
>screen 40fps
>game vsyned to 40
>tdp 6 watts
>screen 30% brightness
> battery life 5.30 hours
Had my deck a week but oh momma this is comfy. Can’t wait to duel boot steam is and have an actual functional tsp control on my laptop
Stealing is infinitely more likely to get you into prison than piracy (unless you are black and in a liberal state in which case feel free to take whatever with zero consequences)
>Most games
>5% of the time
Based ESL retard.
We don't. Deck isn't even a blimp on Nintendo's radar.
sounds like a tranny argument to me.
If you steal it, the switch is free as well.
Try beating that, gabensubhuman.
angry because the Switch is being beaten by the Steam Deck's platform, schizo?
try stealing from a store and see what happens moron. meanwhile I've been pirating games, movies, TV shows, anime and more and I've never gotten anything more than a finger wag from my ISP
face the facts tendie. Deck can play infinitely more games *For Free* than the nintendo portstation
Steam is free software that has been around for decades and is the most popular platform on PC while the switch is like 5 years old and $300, so this isn't exactly an own. Deck is still miles better, but this image does nothing for me.
>having to run a half-baked reimplementation of Windows on top of Linux to be able to play a few games with much worse performance than if you were running windows
I don't even own or give a shit about Switch but fuck the Steamdeck.
You can go way further with that image by comparing total steam users or monthly switch users. Steam has over a billion total players.
>gabentranny SEETHING it got scammed out of hundreds of dollars by gaben
Kek
not after you buy a couple games, switch pricing is insane
