The funny thing is that East Germany had the highest standard of living in the entirety of Eastern Europe, even higher than the Soviet Union. They were actually exporting some of their farming output to Poland because the latter could not sustain themselves.

The Marxist account of history is fucking stupid but what you're arguing against when you bring up the end stage of the Eastern Bloc is basically state socialism/managerialism which was/is manifested by both the Axis powers and literally America.

By the 1980s, the USSR and its clients were ossified, gerontocratic, and nobody believed in the state myth-- so it's no wonder it fucking collapsed, but it was also pretty morally inoffensive and delivered decent living standards. All the worst atrocities of the Soviet Union were manifested at the beginning, when it was a Jewish terror state seeking to actually destroy the world starting with its own subjects, and not at the end, when it was basically a developmental dictatorship that had ceased to actually develop.

I write this and then follow the chain to find that it's a brainlet who just reflexively thinks communism bad without knowing why it's bad. Modern liberalism is WORSE than communism.

China has inherited its Leninist symbols from the 20th century but China since Deng does have a robust market economy with conditions and rising middle class who is increasingly at odds with the dogmatism of the Leninist party. Xi has also pandered to Red nostalgia. It’s a mixed bag. I think you’re legitimately retarded if you think China resembles anything close to a “dictatorship of the proletariat” though. I know Leninism affords for leniency in terms of markets temporarily included into the Soviet system as a way of spurring industry but that doesn’t seem at all the case currently. Look up the current housing crisis which China is in the throes of. Doesn’t strike me as one resultant of a Marxist society.
