fighting games are pretty horrible for the most part. the optimal strategy in almost every one of these games is to juggle the other person so they can't move. The fightard confuses strings for skill

Melee unironically is more complex and offers more skill based ways to break out of combos and retaliate
instead of being locked into 9 seconds of an automated combo + super animation tax
