Whats your honest opinion of Dota2?
Whats your honest opinion of Dota2?
great game, niggers saying its the hardest game ever and gatekeeping it while being 2k mmr is cancer and should be shot on sight (in real life)
cute custom game that got way out of hand
worse than league (and you know it)
Bloated out the ass. Peaked in like 2014-2015. At this point, it is just a game for gambling on tournaments.
Fun concept and fun can be had (especially in some of the custom games), but I would say base dota 2 is a pretty depressing experience unless you somehow wrangle together 4 friends who are at least competent in the game.
Good till 7.0 dropped. I'm thankful to icefraud for releasing me from my chains
For a free game its great
Or at least was i havent played since September 1 2016 apparently
But 1300h is enough for me
disappointed that custom games are dead except for chinkshit with p2w elements
been waiting for the warchasers port to be updated for like 5 years
Also this, it's a pretty dead game imo. How many new players does it even get a month
No clue but yesterday there were 830k concurrent players, highest since 2019
Yeah, that's just because a new patch just dropped and it's definitely not new players. I don't know anyone who gets into dota 2 anymore. Everyone I know who does play it regularly has played it since like 2016 at least
fun
pretty shit.
used to be the game imbalanced but you could play anything if you won lanes now it's just an imbalanced shitty game all around. people will AFK or abandon if you pick certain heroes in any bracket.
this is like saying brawl is a better game than melee. hope you make it ok in life with your 45 IQ.
as for dota 2, its definitely past its peak and is steadily on the downtrend. the game is already so hard to learn and they are only making it steadily harder with new heroes and consistent significant gameplay updates. its now just about keeping their existing playerbase entertained. i do like some of the patch decisions though its far from the excitement in icefrog's prime.
Anyway, to add to this, at some level there will always be a lot of players for dota 2, just like tf2, valve figured out the free to play grift really early. For a completely free to play game, dota 2 is objectively good, even with all it's faults, I just don't know why you'd keep playing it unless you're poor or addicted.
OH YEAH
LOOK AT IT GO!
ROLL OUT THE BARREL
HA!
FEEL IT IN YOUR BONES
>forced 50% through pairing with players with widly different skill levels
>matches too long
>Peru not banned
My only complains
>unironically believing in the forced 50% meme
it's not a meme, correctly implemented mmr systems encourages results very closely to a 50% winrate, but mobas do implement wider mmr disparities to trying to "balance" the match, which is very hard since there are 10 players in a match, all of them with low positive impact potential (carrying) but very high negative (throwing, feeding and afking).
>game is only fun if you drag in enough friends to fill a team
When did this design become acceptable?
I fucking love the voicelines in this game
>matches too long
there's turbo, which plays at 30 min tops.
same thing goes for csgo's short matches - THE saving grace for a single q'er
>Free game
>You can play with all of the heroes for free on the go
>Easy to find a match for
>Devs constantly upgrade the game for balance, leaving it fresh for many years
>Turbo mode allows for casual players to have their fun, as well as Ranked mode allows the competitive players
>Many fun modes, like Overthrow, Custom Hero Chaos and Ability Draft
>Fun, interesting cast of heroes with great and innovative design
Honestly, the one bad thing about it is how awfully Valve conducts the fluff around the game. Things such as animation, comic books, spin offs etc. Dragon's Blood is a fucking shame. And even though I think almost everything related to LoL is cringeworthy, Arcane is miles ahead.
Overall, I don't know why people complain about Dota.
>Play mostly solo as my friends are all consolefags
>Still have fun
>Arguably more fun as I don't have to worry about my few PC friends getting stomped by players above their skill level
