I honestly don't know what else they can do with this series, especially since there have been so many advancements in the open world genre the last 5 or so years. BotW, Genshin, Ghosts of Tsushima, Elden Ring, etc. have all taken the core AC/Ubisoft template and expanded it mechanically and/or polished it/stripped away a lot of the monotonous bullshit. Anything they do is going to come across as just playing catchup.

there's plenty of things you can do with the series. it as not reached it's peak potential at all. Also, lol at that list. None of those games really do anything better than the typical ubishit formula other than zelda just because of the hang gliding (which was in Sly Cooper which you could argue is like a proto-ass creed game) and obviously all of the special physics shit that is really fun. Genshit is a streamlined botw clone. GoT is basically an asscreed game just with a slightly more advanced combat system. Elden Ring's only "merit" compared to the formula is having "unique" loot and bosses.
