Is this necessary? Look at it. You can't fit this godforsaken piece of shit in the electrical outlet, unless there's nothing next to it. What a fucking hog. That's what it is; a self-indulgent glutton of a power hog.
That's a fairly small power adapter for an average-sized appliance, I'd say? The main reason power adapters take up so much space and are so "bulky" is that there isn't much density to them. I wouldn't WANT to plug that into my extension strip, but I could easily.
Honestly it's fucking annoying how many different proprietary forms of fast charging there are. I have like 5 fucking USB fast chargers that go up to 15v and none of them work with anything except the device they came with.

Question: Is the ethernet port on the switch oled dock demonstrably better than an adapter? Faster speeds/lower ping, etc.
I bought an oled dock for my og switch and there's no difference as far as I can tell.
I didn't buy it expecting faster speeds or anything but the oled dock is kind of a ripoff, it's not like the ethernet port frees up a USB port or anything. It's also slightly bigger too so 3rd part grips don't fit in the dock anymore.

no it isn't, I suspect it's just a built in USB adapter because the speeds on mine still suck.

I see, glad to know there's no point in upgrading. Really hope they just include an ethernet port on everything from now on.
