Play heart of darkness now
it's a beautiful atmospheric adventure that feels like a genuine adventure in another world.
do you know of any other games that feel similar?
Because Lorne has some impressive art, lore and environmental skills. However his franchise management abilities are fucking trash.
>Lorne
he isn't shit without Raymond Swanland, Steven Olds, Farzad Varahramyan and Paul O'Connor
he might have had the idea of the core story (which ended up being far different from what we got in Oddysee anyway), but the world and creature designs didn't have a lot to do with Lorne, it was all the result of an insanely talented and creative team
if you want an example of what Lorne's ideas look like on their own, take a loot at Citizen Siege
Its in the "Russian" genre. But made by Americans.

What's the "russian" genre?
probably means dark and atmospheric like Pathologic, The Void, Stalker etc
I heard the made a new oddworld game, is it good?
I'll just post this and let you decide for yourself
it genuinely pained me to play that game, I really wanted it to be good
underrated
Odd world games just have very different feeling games. The visual's are weird in a good way
dont remind me...
>have to watch an unskippable cutscene every time you die
>you die constantly
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
It's not good, but it isn't absolute trash either. It clearly misses the point of the original and I'd play Exoddus ten times over playing Soulstorm once more. If you're a curious fan you might find something there, otherwise play the original Exoddus for the thousand time and enjoy the far superior version of the game.
don't forget the amazing soundtrack by Ellen Meijers youtube.com
i wonder how many kids got into vore because of that game
