if by splatoon you are talking about splatoon 1, the third game is literally 100x better. The first game felt like a tech demo and was unbalanced as fuck

yea, on splatoon 1, splatoon 2, and whenever splatoon 3 comes out you should have no issues getting into matches fairly quickly.
On Splatoon 1 though, I must warn you there are a lot of hackers, and even among non-hackers the average skill level is now quite high. It's not a very easy game to jump into anymore.
