>when you custom make a good rollercoaster with more excitement than intensity
hell yeah
Building levels and overlapping structures is apex comf.
(I also encourage people to buy the RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic app, the touch interface is pretty gud)
Chris Sawyer is fucking assembly-level software magician
RCT can run on any fucking computer
Incredibly based
RCT is one of those games that will never die, like most people who are over the age of 12 know what this game is. Its a masterpiece
I think one of the biggest mindfucks, or maybe just maturity shifts in my life was when for throughout childhood, I wanted 3D RCT. I wanted to ride the rides like in the side programs people made, I wanted the lighting, the enhanced details, everything.
But looking back, and by the time RCT3 came around, I just did not care. I saw beauty in the perfectionism of the isometric grid and the character of the art assets in RCT1/2.
That mental switch will always puzzle me.
Exactly. I played my fair share of RCT3, sure, but it never really... felt the same as the originals. It was more boring and easier to shut off compared to RCT 1 and 2. I dont even know why, but its true.
any experience with Planet Coaster?
Does it do 3D right?
I play planet coaster a lot, I feel like thats a bit of a different experience from RCT3 though. Its more detailed and theres just way more stuff to work with. It also looks and plays amazing
Nice, thanks
I'm pissed that I can't find more of my old RCT screenshots to share
yw
I didnt think to screenshot any RCT stuff so im just grabbing shit from google lol
you are welcome i made it just for you :)
I'm glad I was like 11 and put all of my .SV4s on a disc, though. It's really weird seeing your previous self's ingenuity that got beaten out of you at some point.
>planet coaster
its 3d modeling software with some mild "management" game set dressing.
3D rendering in those days wasn't really up to the task of doing something like RCT. A lot of good 2D game series' died trying to make the jump to 3D in that era. Even the ones that succeeded like C&C Generals had really tight limits on the camera movement to keep you from ever seeing too much.
Parkitect is closer to RCT
doesnt matter, If I can make roller coasters and drown guests its good enough for me.
I wanna try out that game. Havent got the chance to just yet.
>luv me coasters
>luv me vomit paths
>luv me "Entertainer" employees
>luv drownin' guests
simple as
thats as simple as it gets my friend.
gotta drown them guests. gotta build them coasters. its the way of life
RUN THE ADS
RUN THE ADS
RUN THE ADS
>the vertical G-forces of the ride would force people to shoot our their spines but they leave the ride upset instead because RCT
shoulda waited for the testing stats to come out, you eager beavers
