I don't understand the backlash to this game. The gameplay/combat was awesome and had some of the most visceral and explicit gore in video games. Graphics, animation, facial expression are still unparalleled. I loved the story. I have to assume the majority of people who don't like the story are Marvel zoomers who need everything spelled out in black and white or don't understand true feelings of loss. One of my favorite games of the last generation alongside Bloodborne and MHGU.

It’s one of those games where it could be a lot of fun running around doing stealth action shit jumping to and fro going prone and taking motherfuckers out but then you’ve got to watch a movie, walk down 6 hallways, experience a flashback within a flashback, listen to a dyke talk about munching carpet for 15 minutes, experience misery for an hour in another cutscene, all just to get to it. So it’s not worth it. It reminds me of RE6. There’s a good game somewhere in there, but it’s like RE6 if there were no mercenaries mode, an apt comparison because they even removed multiplayer despite giving you this wider moveset with all sorts of opportunities for clever play. Just imagine playing RE6 but no mercenaries so you see all this effort put in for different ways to move and whatnot but it’s the campaign only so you barely get to enjoy it. That’s the last of us 2 basically.
