Because the competitive community tricked Valve into annihilating the marketspace for vanilla user servers because they were convinced they could trick Valve into letting them have control over the game, instead of leaving the game in this weird purgatory state where it gets updates as frequently as CS:GO but they're as unsubstantive, and all there is to talk about is the fact that they murdered user servers and the vanilla game that's left, horribly conceived nerfs to make youtubers whine slightly less, and all.
