Anime girls and tentacles

Nothing, but it doesn't matter

NTR

MuvLuv should have unironically just been an anime instead of a game. There is zero point to it being a VN, it does nothing with the format. I always laugh when people act like it's the pinnacle of VNs and makes every other VN irrelevant because they were never VN fans and just need to go back to watching anime

TACHIAGARE KEDAKAKU MAE

there is a muvluv anime and its shit though

Any Forums not having a /vn/ board makes it a video game.

okay, it should have been a better anime

Blame the other vns for not being as good

Anime/movie adaptions are always shit

>it does nothing with the format
u wot, the original VN had routes, and when you complete two routes the VN as a whole changes and unlocks the sci-fi twist.

Nothing really.

The story is too long to be an anime. The game wants you to experience the whole thing first person, including info dumps and classes.

Muv Luv really stretches the limit of what a Visual Novel can be, and that was specially true at the time it released. The level animation on MLA is unlike anything else in the genre.
The moving mouths and blinking eyes were advanced enough by themselves, but combat scenes and some of the more dynamic conversations(like talking and walking down a corridor) really cement the deal.

Vinny thread?

Reading is just more enjoyable than watching. Nothing is better as an anime unless you are an ADHD zoomer.

I've only heard that from the most obnoxious redditfag ironic-weeaboos. The Umineko fanbase is way worse for that kind of talk on this site.

playing the first one multiple times to get all girls is part of the plot though

Non-phone TSF game when?

Sakaki is the best girl.
This is fact.

I don't understand how anybody can like Sakaki. She's barely a character. She has no chemistry with the MC either, it feels like she's in the race only because everyone else is.

From a narrative point I think it's fine but I don't see how she can be best girl. Her entire character is "she's a stuck up girl who sticks to rules and has trouble dealing with Ayamine".

It's literally plastered so far and wide it's incredible. by a ton of people even, anywhere you look, you will see the phrase "peak fiction" everywhere.
What I mean is the self reflection narrator sucks, there is way too much dialogue compared to how unimportant it is (and this goes for the entire trilogy but mainly extra and alternative) which could be cut at least in half and retain the same feel, as well as what I think is the worst reason it shouldn't have been a VN. which is
The fact that it's a pick a girl harem where the entire ending relies on your emotional attachment to one out of the five girls, of which she has the least screentime in what is considered the worst part of the trilogy and her entire character is the generic tsundere childhood friend that loves you even though you have no redeeming qualities. Every single other girl was thrown out and was gave a shit copy and paste interchangeable sacrifice ending. Some of the girls practically had the most dialogue in the entire slice of alternative in their little death spiels, it just feels like a big fuck you if you actually cared about one of the more infinitely interesting heroines that you spend like 10x more time with like Meiya

our moderation says its a game
