>NOOOOOOO MY DAUGHTERINO NOO MY EVIL CLONERINOOOO NOOO I GOTTA TALKERINO
Why did they do it? The protag in the first one was just an all around dick but was a nobody aside from that. Now the one is making fucking quips like Duke Nukem and goddamn internet meme references.
NOOOOOOO MY DAUGHTERINO NOO MY EVIL CLONERINOOOO NOOO I GOTTA TALKERINO
yeah but the rest of the mod is pretty alright
The intro sucks some serious dick and there's no way 3650 would be allowed to get away with shooting up a room of his own men.
But then again the Combine let him have his memories and personality even in an elite body AND he openly calls them the Combine instead of the Universal Union.
The memes are going to age this mod like milk in a few years and they absoultely need to revoice that rebel guy because he sounds like some eastern European ESL youtuber while the others sound almost professional.
Other than that it's a good mod and I had fun with it.
Kino gameplay despite the bad writing and cringey voice acting. Imagine if Valve bought the mod and polished it..
>cringey voice acting
The only bad voices were that one rebel you kept meeting, and how they awkwardly reused Mossman's lines so she sounded like a robot and came across as a massive autist who didn't understand what a Combine soldier aiming a gun at her face meant.
Everyone else was actually good. I thought they got that one guy who always voices Gman for fan content for this, but it turns out it was a different guy who utterly shat on the Black Mesa Gman impersonator.
yeah the intro was cringy af
wouldnt surprise me if 3650 walked around like this
Overflowing with soul and kino, easy contender for one of the best HL2 mods ever.

I guess they wanted to find some kind of motivation for the main character. I find it funny that they played that whole angle straight. All around great mod though.
So is this Hunt Down the Freeman 2 in terms of how shitty it is?
1st game was dogshit. 2nd one has shitty story/dialogue but it was overall pretty well made for something that I didn't have to pay for. If there's one thing I hate that these HL mods do is put Gman in them, please stop.
No, it's more of a bizarre alternate universe version of Hunt Down the Freeman where it's really fucking good, even if it can't possibly be canon due to the edgelord protag.
I'd like Valve to take a few ideas from this for Half Life 3 though, the way the game handles the Borealis' temporal fuckery is really cool and the new weapons are great.
It's unironically a contender for the best game I've played this year. I'd say Entropy Zero 2 is on the same level as HL2 episode 2
>I've been tracking you for days now.
>*like she's a granny that's hard of hearing* What?
>You're coming with me.
>*deadpan* No.
It's closer to Opposing Force than Blue Shift.
So what is the best hl2 mod
You forgot the best part, where she just stands there, then puts her hand on her chest and looks surprised like you've just sprung a birthday party on her.
Blue Shift is far better than Opposing Force though.
>there's no way 3650 would be allowed to get away with shooting up a room of his own men
Something tells me otherwise.
That something is advisor.
>>You're coming with me.
>>*deadpan* No.
I laughed so hard when she did that.
Bitch, you saw me casually kill every last rebel and Vort in the building. You honestly think you can do anything to stop me?
contrarian spotted
The Citizen/Citizen returns, Year Long Alarm, Downfall
Oh yeah, the advisor who completely forgets it can lift people and leave them helpless and instead just throws around shit you can avoid and lets you shoot it in the face.
Too smart for this world.
People suck.
Citizen Returns is pretty good but holy cow Larry's voice acting is phoned in.
Dangerous World, EXIT 2, and Spherical Nightmares are all high quality medium length mods.
