Admit it.
You liked this game.
Admit it.
You liked this game.
Yeah, it's peak StarFox. I wish the team that made it had continued working on the franchise.
What do you mean, "admit it"?
Starfox Assault is good, most people who played it also think so
Did you mean to post Starfox Adventures?
I never understood why people shat on this game back in the day. It was the best evolution of the Star Fox formula and wasn't either some reworked original IP that Nintendo wanted to turn into a Star Fox game or another remake of the SNES game. Fuck Star Fox fans are retarded. First they don't want a new game, then they start bitching that all they get are remakes of the first game, make up your fucking mind, you closet furries.
I wonder why exactly Nintendo refused to keep going down this route with Star Fox? Story driven furries usually is a fun time and space ship fighting is always fun to.
I still do, it's my favorite behind Star Fox 2. It objectively has some big faults in regards to its linearity and repetitive objectives, but that's stuff that could easily be ironed out in a sequel. I don't understand the fucking bizarre bias people here have against it, even petty stupid shit like saying the art style is bad and it portrayed the characters poorly.
I never played it and this is the first time I've heard anyone suggest that its good. You should've spoken up back when it was relevant.
Yeah. The one foot missions weren't great, but I loved the railshooter sections, the multiplayer was a blast with the boys.
No. It was a BAD version of Ratchet and Clank. Such half baked third person shooting gameplay with inferior weapons.
I remember enjoying Assault when I played it and I think if they ironed out the on-foot missions a bit more I might have liked it more than 64. Hell, I think if you combined its multiplayer with SF64 branching and maybe Command/SF2's idea of being able to play as other characters outside of Fox for the main missions, you have a pretty good star fox game.
You're definitely thinking of Adventures.
See And the story was horrible. It was more dramatic......but NOT really ha ha! Wait General Pepper is going to die NOT! Wolf is going to die NOT! Peppy is going to die NOT!
Fuck off. Either commit to the drama or don't bother. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Sonic the Hedgehog does a better job of doing drama.
I liked it and all of the cutscenes and the music.
Time for an unpopular opinion. Wish that the Star Fox team was all foxes. I hate the diversity multicultural animal bullshit. None of these species would get along in real life just like how humans of different races don't get along.
this
The only animal media that does that is Swat Kats. The entire planet is populated only by cats there are no other species.
All species co-exist with each other.
The only exceptions are monkeys and reptiles. All of them are evil.
Compare the soul of Adventures and how little it rapes SF lore to this game, that Namco clearly didn't know what to do with it. Getting in and out of vehicles feels terrible. Body Harvest for the N64 had better car enter/exiting animations. Actually they're about the same, barring one came out a decade earlier. The shots, like the rifle, are literally square, and the hit detection for them is equally shit.
To move onto the lore rape, why the fuck are Pigma, Wolf, Leon and Andrew not dead/completely fucked up from 64? Did Venom Hard not happen? Fortuna? The Satelite? Where are there scars? Why does Leon have half his face? Why do the whole Turks thing with Star Wolf when they're morally bankrupt individuals who have proven time and time again that they aren't compatible with Cornerian life? Why put Panther King in it at all, as if they needed to make all that cringey fanfiction of Krystal banging other people even more popular.
TL:DR: Namco is shit and didn't know how to make a good game, let alone a good Star Fox. Adventures is the one that tries to do its own thing and besides Andross coming back, does NOTHING to fuck the lore of SF given how far removed Sauria is from the Lylat System.
And go play Body Harvest and get the secret second weapon set with alien tech.
Corneria is a dog planet and foxes live on papetoon. Funny we explore the entire Lylat galaxy, but we never see Fox's planet anywhere in there. Maybe it's in a different galaxy. Star Fox seems to operate on, every species has their own planet logic.
Yeah, it was like a 7/10. Decent enough.
>Sonic the Hedgehog does a better job of doing drama.
While I do find it comical Assault can't stick to the idea of one of the good guys dying (and the two villains that die were shown to be alive in Command). I refuse to accept Sonic having "better drama" than anything given that SA2 has Sonic fake his own death using a move he saw Shadow do once but this time with a fake chaos Emerald, it also (just like assault) has it's own death undone by future games.
I liked what it tried to do, but it was all around disappointing
>super linear, no branching paths or hidden bosses
>70% on-foot or all-range mode
>tries to be edgy but everyone is magically okay, even the fucking Great Fox only got kind of scratched
>multiplayer is really clunky and weapons are unsatisfying
>Xevious is shit
Is fox even a good guy, he didnt seem especially heroic in Adventures just wanting to get paid. He just seemed annoyed when he had to do good things. I mean, he's good compared to Wolf, at least.
He is a bit sassy in Adventures. Nothing terrible, just mouthy and sarcastic at times.
Consider that all the games happen in just one star system
>Starships, including long-range fighters clearly have FTL capability
>Later games introduce stargates
So is Lylat all there is or are there other inhabited star systems?
