I just don't understand why they are betting so much on Sonic's future based on this game. They did that with Forces, had the IDW comics be based off that, it's wasn't well received and the good will Sonic has scrounged up before that was squandered.

So far I don't care for the weird cyber/circuit aesthetic everything seems to have. The music also seems too contemplative and calm. The gameplay looks great though and I love the idea of an open world with random platforming elements that ties together more structured levels.
Not sure where it'll land but I doubt it'll surpass the Adventure games.
