Not really. The faults I'm listing are all very elementary things that were done deliberately. They didn't animate and code all those fancy scripted sequences accidentally or due to a lack of technical skill. They chose to have a spastic camera, rather than a normal one like every other action game, AA or otherwise.

Frankly, the game is more concerned with portraying itself in a certain way than it is with playing well.

Parrying is ridiculously easy. Literally all you have to do for 90% of the game (if on normal or hard) is just keep tapping the left stick toward enemies while mashing the attack button. EZ parrying right there. As for blade mode: Sounds like a personal problem. I started practicing the manual, precise cuts very early on, rarely ever just mashed light+heavy attacks, so I was fully prepared for Sundowner and Armstrong's "cut the line" sequences. Literally git gud and try again. While you're at it, abuse Defensive Offense, it i-frames through literally every attack/ grab. Trivializes many enemies.

I already beat the game though. I was mentally checked out for the final boss and still beat it by just doing the QTEs. Its dumb.

What retards like you fail to understand is that a parry button would trivialize the game. The parry is already pretty lenient, albeit only giving you a block if mistimed. Having to pay attention to the directions of attacks adds at least some level of skill to defending. A parry button would mean you could spam parry anytime you see an enemy about to attack and be effectively invincible since there isn't any chip damage from the majority of enemies.

It is only misconstrued as an attack if you have missed the parry window. So a seperate button wouldn't change that.
