there was this one flash or html5 game where you played as some kind of sea tentacle monster. you used the mouse to guide its tentacle which you could use to either mess with people/animals or help them out.

it's actually shit, the premise and idea were really cool then you just realize it's a shitty puzzle game (no challenge and linear) that ends really quickly.

Used to be a ton. Only less as gaming moved on. Probably because it was difficult to make a human that was anything more than a stick figure back then.
