every mmo is already slow, that's literally the businessmodel. you don't need to put your own restrictions to make it slow.

They look tedious because people are trying to speedrun them. When you take your time you will want it to not end.

it took me 500 hours to get to level 60 in classic, that's a bit much

It's a long game, it's supposed to be like that...

no fun grinding mobs for hours

That's not what the game is about.

No addons.

then how do i level up

lol you never played ffxi. grinding mobs for hours is the fun part.

I've been playing on 0.5xp on Warmane to make leveling slow (you can set it to 0.5 or back to 1x by just clicking on the xp bar there) so I get to have to do every quest as I level up so I dont overlevel anything.
Its the comfiest MMO experience Ive had in a while, great feature.

Do quests.

finished all the quests i could, it's not enough in classic. you either need to grind mobs or grind dungeons

WoW was designed to be fast and streamlined to get casuals to the end game in a pain-free manner

That's not possible.

is the xp buff still up on classic

have you played it? around 30 it starts going really really slow and by 40-50 there's no way to continue without grinding. my quest map was basically empty except for dungeon quests and a few elite that required a lot of people
