Limited resources. Why remake a series that sold like ass dildoes instead of a series that keeps breaking their own records?

Why don't they instead remake games that actually need remakes? Like Dino Crisis 3 or Code Veronica.

This argument doesn't make any sense, so by remaking a game and people wanting the remake over the original which they weren't going to play in the first place is somehow ruins/deletes the original

Declaring "they'd never play it if it wasn't remade" is quite an assumption. Tons of people just assume a remake is the same experience and only opt to play the newest. It definitely reduces the pool of people willing to play the classic.

the games been out like 20+ years. easily available for everyone on multiple platforms over the years. why wouldn't they have played those already if they had any fucking interest to play those.
