Camellia is literally the worst-written companion character in any RPG of this genre. The least nuanced character possible. In a game with a lot of pretty terrible companions she is somehow still by far the worst.

Just really shitty writing.

In my opinion Woljif is the only companion with a decent story, and it's not really fleshed out. Too much of Arueshalae's writing is cringy, all of Ember's is incredibly cringy, Seelah is blandness incarnate, Lann is just obnoxious and the character has no direction, Regill would've been good except for the unbelievable amount of skewed logic and unreasonable amount of suspension of disbelief required, Nenio's story is just retarded, Greybor is just a prick, Wenduag is just another psycho who's actions make no real sense, Sosiel does nothing.

Compared to the Kingmaker companions they're terrible.

A crazy character that acts crazy might be *realistic*, but that doesn't make it a good character. In fact, it makes it a fucking terrible character. It's one note.

Alignments always lock you into one note characters that was always a problem of DnD and Pathfinder inherited everything bad about it.

I really don't see why a game about crusading against demons can't just give me a full squad of white human male paladins, clerics, inquisitors, divine hunters and oracles who each have their own personality, and also while we are at it make the Good side competent so that the crusade is well-organized and automatically wins before the game even begins instead of the blasphemous notion that Good can be defeated by Evil.
