Souls veteran here who started with Demon's Souls. Bloodborne was my last souls game. Installing Elden Ring right now.
I'm in a bad place in life, in a lot of emotional and physical pain. I just want to do an easy mode run through of this game (both in playing through it and lore) while high off of my mind. Any recommended guides/youtube videos y'all can throw my way?

Just play like a normal human, retard. Beating a relatively difficult the game legit is the 2nd best thing you can do to feel better after physical exercise.
I actually want to have a hard time, I just don't want to deal with the moments like maneater or blighttown.
I have to do other things as well to make sure I can sustain myself. I don't have a shit ton of disposable leisure time.
If only these games had some sort of system that let you shoot blue light to kill enemies from a safe distance...
Magic is pretty ez mode, and the game has AI summons that you can level up to beat the game for you kinda. All the hard bosses are optional anyways. Go in blind dont watch a bunch of vids.

yeah here's my guide
look up how to get the rotten stray ash
look up how to get the rotten breath incantation
use those to beat every boss up to and including Radahn
once Radahn is dead look up how to get an item called "Mimic Tear Ashes"

There is no way to make this game easier, just explore every single corner of a new area before fighting a boss.

ARC
or Magic
Choose one.
For STR, get THE Greatsword and jump attack everything. Flame of the Redmanes stuns pretty much everything.
For ARC, get two weapons, preferably innate bleeding weapons (like the Flamberge), if you can't, infuse two weapons of the same type with bleed and laugh while you bleed everything in seconds. For added ez mode, get 15 faith and you can use Rot Breath.
For Magic, well, magic is ez mode no matter what, really. But the Beam Spell forgot it's name, is what will generally carry you through harder bosses. You can use it as low as 20 with the right talismans and armor and oneshot bosses with it.
ill give you this advice for free:
dont bother fighting the bears, they are a bitch to fight and don't drop anything important
not true. there is one bear that drops a pretty good talisman
Just play on journo mode
it's harder now that the game was updated out of the journo release edition, but basically just use sorcery and bleeding weapons.
