It's the visual clutter rather than the charting or anything. I never actually tried turning of the MVs so maybe that helps, but all the notes flying all the fuck over the place without any kind of way to tell where they'll appear next other than simply knowing gives my small brain a hard time processing it all. Even Mirai is better since though it doesn't have fixed lanes, everything just pops up along a track. Much easier to read.

for future tone/arcade, there's a very deliberate method to how notes and multis are placed. it all boils down to layout of the controller. stuff like triples on the left side will generally be the first three buttons, while triples on the right side of the screen will be the last three buttons. notes generally fly around in a loop and in a descending or ascending order. it's really clever stuff if you sit down and study charts in practice mode n shit.
