The problem with this is Island Sanctuary is literally about being efficient with timers and setting up your exports. It's not really "min-maxing" to just say "Let me make sure I gather enough to have all of these 5-6 hour timers running before I leave." That's intended game design.

This, most of the 'comfy' lifesims are primarily about time management and minmaxing. From harvest moon to animal crossing, the primary goal is to do as many things in as little in-game time as possible.

It has definitely ruined non-competetive multiplayer games for me. I used to play MMOs but these days it seems like everyone who plays them is a slave to meta, treating it like a job and trying to speedrun "the content". I kind of don't have the time to commit to them anymore anyway, but whenever I've tried another one for the past decade or so the community has put me off instantly.
