The first Katamari took the west by storm partially thanks to its price tag (20 USD, versus like 5000-something yen), then We Love Katamari was $30, then eventually we reached a point where Katamari games were sold for a full-priced game on 360 and PS3. (either $50 or 60, I forget) So, it definitely is profitable and has staying power. Here's hoping WLK gets a remaster, I have it on PS2 but would love for more people to be able to enjoy it nowadays, and I'd probably double-dip like I did with Reroll on the Switch.

All groundbreaking indie games. Rimworld and Banished have both been cloned to hell and back, but no one is insane enough to attempt to make a Kenshi clone.
