Inafune mostly came up with some visual designs and a couple of rough concepts for the setting and gameplay, he didn't really do much else outside of maybe drawing some boxart for the games once in a while.

He gets credit where it's due, but he is not the creator of Mega Man. For what goodwill he had earned during his tenure with Capcom, he undid by burning several bridges. He also unfortunately listened to a retard named Ben Judd and made a stupid company by the name of Comcept, which had to be salvaged by Level 5.
