Nioh 2

As a Soulsbourne/Sekiro fan, I REALLY wanted to like this... I've tried several times now to get into the groove, but every attempt has left me seething due to some inane bullshit that was out of my control. It suffers from the same issues that most other souls-like games have, where they just try to be artificially difficult and unforgiving for the sake of being hard, without recognizing or capturing what made Fromsoft's games such a satisfying and balanced experience.

I know some people will dig this, but I'm giving this a thumbs down. Maybe moreso because it just isn't for me, and it's not the right flavour of souls-like that I'm craving. Maybe I'll come back to it some day, or I'll give multiplayer a shot. For now, I don't think my blood pressure can stand to play any more.

>out of my control
no
The controls are insanely tight. Maybe pick a faster weapon if you can't handle the more committal ones.

top tier bait

Wasn't that the video game about the foreign Diplomat who was only technically the social rank of Samurai and not an actual samurai warrior?

Make less obvious bait please.

It's not a Souls game
Great bait tho

Nioh 2 was harder than the Souls games for me, until I used all of the abilities available, then it became easier. I've never had to try a boss more than 3 or so times, while Souls games I often try repeatedly. This game is almost a little too easy with the yokai abilities.

I like Souls games more ultimately because I like the worlds. I guess I like both combat. Souls is more about watching for attacks and learning move sets, Nioh is about reflexively using your abilities, reminds me of Bayonetta.

Spear mid stance strong attacks with well timed ki pulses is all you need

OP probably doesn't even know about Ki Pulse, KEK!

Will I like the games if I play action games (ng, dmc, bayo)?

HURRR
DURRR

It's not exactly crazy in the same way those games are and it requires a bit more execution and inputs to do cool stuff + having to grind XP to unlock skills and even farming for some of the boss skills (though you can jsut cheat these in if you want).

But it's a fun game. Don't let the loot shit filter you, it's easily ignorable

this lmao
probably that same sperg always making nioh vs souls threads

>As a Soulsbourne/Sekiro fan,
kek Guarantee you hate this game

Like clockwork.

Nioh is an Onimusha clone, not a soulsborne game. I hate souls garbage and literally every clone of it that I have ever tried (like that anime game with the big tits woman), but I loved Nioh. Why did I love it? Because it wasn't a shit game like the soulsborne franchise.

>As a Soulsbourne/Sekiro fan
of course

No I agree with him. It's a game for tryhards.

Just get good.

The faster weapons do shit damage and don't stun anything. I'm with OP. I could not get into this game and the fucking crazy thing is, I loved Nioh 1. Nioh 2 went too fucking far.

your bait is just as bad as OPs

Hey Any Forums, I'm thinking about getting into this game, but I had questions about the builds. So, I wanted to play with the weird glaive thing, but I remember magic being OP as fuck and not very fun in Nioh 1. Is that still the case in 2? Which weapon types did you guys have the most fun with?

As I've told people countless times, if you're a Soulsborne / Sekiro fan you won't like the Nioh series.
Your fault for not listening to me, OP.

You literally can't like both nioh and dark souls.

>soulsbourne
you say this word and I immediately disregard anything you say. kill yourself.

wrong user, dumbshit

I see, thanks.

No retard

Where the fuck did i even mention dark souls in my post?

is nioh 2 toaster friendly?
I'm on a 750 ti..

No. I have a 1060 3GB and it can barely hold 50 fps

Decided to come back and beat Nioh 1 since I've never beaten it. God I must have played the first stage so many times it gets me almost nostalgic. Also fun to see William again.
